Nephrology deals with kidney diseases. At the Varun Hospitals, our specialized team of nephrologists, kidney transplant surgeons, Interventional Nephrology radiologists and urologists work together to diagnose and treat the entire gamut of kidney-related conditions in the best possible way. In the treatment of unique kidney conditions which may require a kidney transplant, our quaternary care experts are experienced to handle the most complex cases delicately.
- This Department caters to Kidney related problems including dialysis and renal transplant follow-ups. The department is a well-equipped Hemodialysis Unit with 15 latest state of art machines & for acute Haemodialysis backed by NABH accreditation, state of art five ICU units, facility for RRT & SLED. Water for dialysis is provided by Reverse Osmosis (RO) system. A facility for bicarbonate dialysis is available in three shifts with an arrangement to provide emergency dialysis round the clock and separate dedicated machines for critically ill patients are available in ICUs for bedside dialysis.
- The Department has also facilities for initiating patients for Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis (CAPD).
- A significant number of patients of Post Kidney transplant have been visiting the Department for follow-up at Varun Trauma Hospitals, Aligarh.
- Special OPD for young hypertension – Renal Hypertension on Tuesday conducted by HOD (Nephrology).
