Our Hospital’s Burn Intensive Care Unit (BICU) is the only burn unit in Aligarh. Our physicians and registered nurses are certified in Advanced Burn Life Support and receive extensive training to care for patients that have suffered serious or life-threatening burn injuries.
The unit provides comprehensive care for these complex patients. Physical and occupational therapists, dietitians, respiratory therapists, pastoral counselors and social workers work together with the medical staff to help burn patients address each facet of their recovery.
Controlling infections is a primary concern for burn victims. As a result, the six-bed unit follows strict infection control processes. Patients stay in private rooms where they are provided excellent care and rehabilitation.
